How to choose your diamond?

THE 4 C’S

CARAT

The carat is the international unit of measurement for diamonds; 1 carat corresponds to 0.32 grams. The weight of a diamond is one of the main factors to consider as its price increases with its weight.

COLOUR

A diamond’s color is determined by the expert’s human eye, related to standards compared under specific laboratory conditions ranging from D (whitest) to Z (most tinted).

CLARITY

A diamond's clarity is determined by the nature, location and number of inclusions present in the stone. These inclusions are either tiny crystals (white) or carbon (black), the main chemical element of diamonds.

CUT

The ideal diamond cut aims to optimize the refraction of light in its facets to obtain optimum brilliance. It is graded upon 3 criterias (cut, polish and symmetry) ranging from Poor to Excellent.

OUR DIAMONDS

Our diamonds are carefully selected by Valérie Danenberg, our expert gemologist in minimum G color and SI clarity, hence extra white with small inclusions invisible to the naked eye. They are all certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the best laboratory in the world, laser-engraved on the girdle with their individual certificate number. All are sourced directly from the international diamond stock exchange and purchased without intermediaries. Prices are subject to the availability and fluctuations of diamond prices. In addition, they are certified by the Kimberley Process: ethically mined and do not contribute to conflicts around the world.

CHAMPAGNE DIAMONDS : AN ALTERNATIVE TO WHITE DIAMONDS

Champagne diamonds come in subtle shades of warm colors with more discreet reflections than white diamonds. They blend in perfectly with pink gold creating a dazzling tone-on-tone effect.
These diamonds are selected by Valérie in particular for their beautiful "pink champagne" color in VS (very small inclusions) clarity, but do not come with a laboratory certificate as champagne diamonds are not graded according to the "4Cs" like white diamonds.
