Our ethical engagements
Environmentally-friendly jewelry revival
Giving a jewel a second life by recycling its noble materials is a fine gesture for the planet. Maison Valérie Danenberg is very attached to the ethical aspect of jewelry, which is why it recommends that its customers recycle their jewelry by transforming it.
Indeed, the extraction of metals and precious stones can pose both environmental and ethical problems, so recycling antique jewelry is a good way to preserve nature while (indulging) yourself!
Where our gold comes from
Valérie Danenberg comes from a family of antique dealers, which is why she has always worked with recycled gold. She is passionate about creating beautiful jewelry while respecting nature and the environment around her.
Ethical diamonds
As an expert gemmologist, Valérie carefully selects each diamond with a minimum G color and SI clarity. She engraves the certificate number on the roundel with a lazer.
All are sourced directly from the international diamond exchange and certified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the world's largest certification institute, to ensure perfect brilliance and purity.
All our diamonds are certified by the "Kimberley Process" to ensure that they are mined under ethical conditions and do not contribute to fuelling conflict.
A responsible approach
For Valérie, it's important to respect people and the planet. Sensitive to the pollution of rivers caused by gold mining, she recycles gold and diamonds wherever possible.
